Good to know

Redwoods rise around you, birdsong replaces notifications, and the air carries the clean, earthy scent of the forest. This is Camp Meeker - a quiet, unhurried corner of West Sonoma where time slows down and the outdoors take over. Set on a private road and surrounded by trees, this retro-modern cabin is designed for guests who want genuine space to breathe, explore, and reconnect.   Living space Step inside and the open-plan layout immediately gives you room to settle in. The living area is furnished with curated mid-century modern pieces, creating a warm, characterful space that feels personal rather than generic. A dining area anchored by a full dining table is equally well-suited to shared meals or an evening of board games. There is no TV here - instead, you get books, birdsong, and the kind of quiet that is genuinely hard to find. Fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace mean you can stay connected when you need to, and completely unplug when you do not.   Kitchen & dining The fully equipped kitchen comes with vintage-inspired finishes and everything you need to cook from scratch or keep things simple. Appliances include a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, and blender. Cooking basics, dishes, silverware, and a baking sheet are all provided. When the weather invites it, take the meal outside - the outdoor dining area, BBQ grill, barbecue utensils, and sun loungers make the deck a natural extension of the living space.   Sleeping arrangements The cabin sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms. The primary bedroom is on the lower floor, featuring a plush bed, beautiful forest views, and a private en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is equally welcoming, also on the lower level. A third full bathroom serves the rest of the home, and the full bathroom on the top floor adds further convenience for guests moving between floors.   Outdoor space Two separate decks - one on each level - give you multiple spots to sit with a morning coffee, watch the trees, or wind down after a day out. Outdoor furniture and sun loungers are set up and ready. The surrounding redwoods provide natural shade and privacy, making both decks genuinely usable spaces rather than afterthoughts.   Location Camp Meeker sits at the heart of some of West Sonoma's best day-trip territory. The Russian River is close by, and the towns of Occidental and Sebastopol are just a short drive away - both well-regarded for their restaurants, galleries, and relaxed small-town atmosphere. Wineries, breweries, and scenic biking and hiking trails are all within easy reach. Cell service can be limited in this area due to the remote setting, though WiFi is strong throughout the cabin.   A few things to know The property spans multiple levels and includes stairs, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns. Free parking is available on-site and on the street. Pets are welcome. Self check-in is available via lockbox. Exterior security cameras are present on the property, including a Ring doorbell at the front of the house.

Other Details to Note

TV Info: Heads up... There's NO TV here—just birdsong, tree views, and plenty of peace and quiet. Think of it as a screen-free escape (unless you count the stars). ::Power Outages:: This home is located in a beautiful, tree-filled area that can occasionally experience storm-related power outages, especially in winter. These events are controlled by the local utility company and are outside of the host’s control. While we will always do our best to assist and keep you updated during any outage, compensation is not guaranteed for utility disruptions. For peace of mind, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Stairs: The cabin has multiple levels, including stairs to the lower floor and decks. It may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns. WiFi & Cell Service: While we have high-speed WiFi, cell service may be spotty in some areas due to the remote location. Security Camera: Please note we do have a Ring camera by the front door for security purposes. Wildlife: You’re in nature! Expect to see (or hear) deer, birds, and other wildlife. Please do not leave food outside. Fireplace: though there is a fireplace shown in photos in the living room, it is currently not working. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the many other amenities the home has to offer. We prefer guests not to use the fire pit on the back deck, thank you for understanding. Pet-Friendly: 2 Well-behaved dogs are welcome! 🐾 We would like to ensure that all guests are safe so if you bring your dog, please be respectful and do not allow them on the furniture, pick up their waste from the yard/decks and anywhere in Sonoma county, do not leave them alone in the house without supervision. Due to allergies we do not allow cats or any other animal in the house, thank you for understanding. A small pet fee may apply. Families with Kids: We truly enjoy hosting families, but please be aware that our home isn’t a good fit for young children under 12. There are several high decks, lots of stairs, and the space hasn’t been child-proofed. Things like glass doors, sharp corners on furniture, small decorative items within reach, and a glass-walled shower (no bathtub) could pose safety concerns. The decks can also get slippery in wet weather. For peace of mind, we recommend our home for adults and older kids over 12 who can safely navigate the space. Seasons & Weather: The cabin is cozy year-round! In winter, snow chains or AWD/4WD may be required due to mountain roads. We want you to have an amazing stay—let us know if you have any questions! 🚗 Camp Meeker roads are narrow and may require careful maneuvering, especially if another car is approaching. Please drive slowly and carefully. 🎵 Amplified music is prohibited outdoors at all times. Sonoma County quiet hours are strictly enforced between 9pm-7am. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Most of all, enjoy Camp Meeker!
