Good to know

Soft morning light filters through the redwoods as you step onto the deck, the cool February air settling around you. Mist weaves through the trees, and the quiet of the forest creates a calming pause before the day begins. Here, winter adds a gentle stillness to a spacious retreat surrounded by towering trunks and the peaceful rhythm of West Sonoma. Spacious interior The top floor brings together an open-plan living area, dining space, and kitchen, framed by views of the surrounding forest. Retro-modern touches add character while large windows draw the outdoors in. This level includes a full bathroom and direct access to the expansive deck, giving you room to unwind amid the trees. A den on the lower floor offers a second living area suited for reading or board games. Sleeping arrangements The home sleeps up to four guests with two bedrooms and three full baths. On the lower level, the primary bedroom includes a bed and an en-suite bathroom, creating a private corner for quiet evenings. The second bedroom sits nearby with another full bath adjacent, offering comfort and convenience for your group. Outdoor living Winter brings crisp air and a serene atmosphere to the forest canopy. The private deck gives you a place to step outside for fresh-air breaks, supported by outdoor furniture, an outdoor dining area, BBQ grill, and sun loungers when the season allows. Elevated among the trees, the deck adds generous space to take in the quiet surroundings. Kitchen & dining A kitchen designed for everyday cooking supports easy meals, whether you're preparing breakfast before exploring or settling in for a relaxed dinner indoors. A dining table offers room to gather, share a meal, or play board games. Work and connectivity If you need to stay connected during your stay, WiFi and a workspace make it simple to handle remote needs. The home maintains an intentionally screen-free rhythm, with no TV, allowing the forest setting to guide your downtime. Comfort & essentials Bathroom essentials, bed linens, washer, dryer, heating, and clothing storage help you settle in comfortably. Safety features include a Ring doorbell at the front of the house, exterior security cameras on the property, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. The home is pet-friendly and offers self check-in through a lockbox, along with free parking on the premises and free street parking. Neighborhood Set along a private road in Camp Meeker, the cabin keeps you close to Occidental, Sebastopol, the Russian River, wineries, and scenic trails. Winter lends a reflective quality to the area, perfect for slow days spent exploring nearby towns or enjoying the peaceful forest setting. Perfect for Couples, families, or creatives seeking a spacious, pet-friendly retreat immersed in forest stillness. Important Notes Please be aware that the property spans multiple levels and includes stairs, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns. Cell service can be spotty due to the remote location, although WiFi is strong throughout the cabin. Surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty, this home offers the rare combination of privacy, comfort, and proximity to some of the most beautiful scenery in Northern California.

Other Details to Note

TV Info: Heads up... There's NO TV here—just birdsong, tree views, and plenty of peace and quiet. Think of it as a screen-free escape (unless you count the stars). ::Power Outages:: This home is located in a beautiful, tree-filled area that can occasionally experience storm-related power outages, especially in winter. These events are controlled by the local utility company and are outside of the host’s control. While we will always do our best to assist and keep you updated during any outage, compensation is not guaranteed for utility disruptions. For peace of mind, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Stairs: The cabin has multiple levels, including stairs to the lower floor and decks. It may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns. WiFi & Cell Service: While we have high-speed WiFi, cell service may be spotty in some areas due to the remote location. Security Camera: Please note we do have a Ring camera by the front door for security purposes. Wildlife: You’re in nature! Expect to see (or hear) deer, birds, and other wildlife. Please do not leave food outside. Fireplace: though there is a fireplace shown in photos in the living room, it is currently not working. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the many other amenities the home has to offer. We prefer guests not to use the fire pit on the back deck, thank you for understanding. Pet-Friendly: 2 Well-behaved dogs are welcome! 🐾 We would like to ensure that all guests are safe so if you bring your dog, please be respectful and do not allow them on the furniture, pick up their waste from the yard/decks and anywhere in Sonoma county, do not leave them alone in the house without supervision. Due to allergies we do not allow cats or any other animal in the house, thank you for understanding. A small pet fee may apply. Families with Kids: We truly enjoy hosting families, but please be aware that our home isn’t a good fit for young children under 12. There are several high decks, lots of stairs, and the space hasn’t been child-proofed. Things like glass doors, sharp corners on furniture, small decorative items within reach, and a glass-walled shower (no bathtub) could pose safety concerns. The decks can also get slippery in wet weather. For peace of mind, we recommend our home for adults and older kids over 12 who can safely navigate the space. Seasons & Weather: The cabin is cozy year-round! In winter, snow chains or AWD/4WD may be required due to mountain roads. We want you to have an amazing stay—let us know if you have any questions! 🚗 Camp Meeker roads are narrow and may require careful maneuvering, especially if another car is approaching. Please drive slowly and carefully. 🎵 Amplified music is prohibited outdoors at all times. Sonoma County quiet hours are strictly enforced between 9pm-7am. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Most of all, enjoy Camp Meeker!

This place is magical and a perfect spot to unwind for a few days. Loved the house with its fantastic kitchen plus all the bathroom amenities were extra nice. Radiant heat floors add a touch of luxury to this unique place. Appreciated the literature selection too (special thanks for Thomas Pynchon). And of course the redwoods! Hoping to come back again next year.

Adrienne's place is absolutely wonderful. Feels very cozy and at home with lovely radiant heating throughout. Camp Meeker itself is an absolute gem of a place. It feels unspoiled, sublime, peaceful. My family and I, including elderly grandparents and a newborn baby, had a great stay here and would gladly stay again anytime we're looking to get away.

This beautiful home sits in this fairytale-like forest. The tall, beautiful trees surrounding the home made the setting feel peaceful and secluded, immediately putting my mind at ease, and the heated floors were such a cozy touch. The spacious kitchen and high-end amenities throughout the house made everything feel luxurious. The host was extremely quick to respond to any questions, which made the entire experience even better. Thanks Adrienne for sharing this beautiful home.

What an incredible escape from reality, just a short drive from home. We packed up the car (and the 🐶) and headed to Sonoma County for a two day Food and Wine tour. Camp Meeker was a fantastic home base and an easy drive to all of the places we wanted to visit. Nearby highlights include the Corner Store for great coffee, Russian River exploration, and the nearby Redwood walk. There is also plenty of nice strolls around the house itself. As for the accommodation - delightful. We made full use of the impressive kitchen, and sitting on the back stairs with a coffee listening to nature through the fog each morning was great. My only feedback is that the beds were a little uncomfortable - but to be fair I’m pretty particular about the firmness of a mattress. Highly recommend. We’re already looking at future dates.

The streets are narrow, we recommend having your GPS marked and ON before getting off the freeway, to ensure you can connect to the address. Once you're in Camp Meeker there is very little cell service. If you are on a road in Camp Meeker and another car is coming the same way, one of you may have to back into a driveway to let the other go by.
