Good to know
The redwoods do most of the work the moment you step out of your car in Camp Meeker - the canopy closes overhead, the air carries pine and damp earth, and the pace of the world outside drops away completely. This two-bedroom, three-bath cabin is built for people who want a real reset: no TV, no noise, just forest. Living Space Spread across two floors, the layout gives four guests genuine room to breathe. The top floor opens into a spacious living area anchored by mid-century furnishings and flooded with natural light filtering through the trees. A dining table sits ready for shared meals or long evenings of board games, and a full bathroom on this level keeps things convenient. The large deck off the main floor is where mornings tend to start - coffee in hand, treetops at eye level, nothing pressing. Sleeping Arrangements The primary bedroom is on the lower floor with forest views and a private en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is warm and well-appointed, with a third full bathroom also on this level. A separate den offers a second living space - ideal for reading or quiet evenings - with its own deck access. Kitchen & Dining The kitchen is fully equipped for actual cooking: refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, blender, baking sheet, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and a dining table. Outside, the BBQ grill with barbecue utensils, outdoor dining area, and sun loungers make eating al fresco just as easy. Outdoor Space Two decks give you different angles on the forest throughout the day. The outdoor dining area and BBQ setup make the property feel like an extension of the cabin rather than an afterthought. Staying Connected Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace are available throughout. Cell service can be intermittent in the remote setting, but the indoor connection is strong. There is no TV - intentionally. What you get instead: books, board games, and mornings narrated by birdsong. Getting Around The Russian River is a short drive out. Hiking and biking trails, wineries, breweries, and the small-town plazas of Occidental and Sebastopol are all within easy reach. Good to Know The cabin spans multiple levels and includes stairs - it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Exterior security cameras are present on the property, including a Ring doorbell at the front entrance. Smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are all on-site. Free parking is available on the premises and on the street. The cabin is pet-friendly. Self check-in is via lockbox.
Other Details to Note
TV Info: Heads up... There's NO TV here—just birdsong, tree views, and plenty of peace and quiet. Think of it as a screen-free escape (unless you count the stars). ::Power Outages:: This home is located in a beautiful, tree-filled area that can occasionally experience storm-related power outages, especially in winter. These events are controlled by the local utility company and are outside of the host’s control. While we will always do our best to assist and keep you updated during any outage, compensation is not guaranteed for utility disruptions. For peace of mind, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Stairs: The cabin has multiple levels, including stairs to the lower floor and decks. It may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns. WiFi & Cell Service: While we have high-speed WiFi, cell service may be spotty in some areas due to the remote location. Security Camera: Please note we do have a Ring camera by the front door for security purposes. Mid-stay Cleaning: Guests staying longer than 14 nights are required to schedule a mid-stay cleaning. This is mandatory for all extended stays and is particularly important for reservations with pets. We'll work with you to arrange a convenient time during your stay. Wildlife: You’re in nature! Expect to see (or hear) deer, birds, and other wildlife. Please do not leave food outside. Fireplace: though there is a fireplace shown in photos in the living room, it is currently not working. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the many other amenities the home has to offer. We prefer guests not to use the fire pit on the back deck, thank you for understanding. Pet-Friendly: 2 Well-behaved dogs are welcome! 🐾 We would like to ensure that all guests are safe so if you bring your dog, please be respectful and do not allow them on the furniture, pick up their waste from the yard/decks and anywhere in Sonoma county, do not leave them alone in the house without supervision. Due to allergies we do not allow cats or any other animal in the house, thank you for understanding. A small pet fee may apply. Families with Kids: We truly enjoy hosting families, but please be aware that our home isn’t a good fit for young children under 12. There are several high decks, lots of stairs, and the space hasn’t been child-proofed. Things like glass doors, sharp corners on furniture, small decorative items within reach, and a glass-walled shower (no bathtub) could pose safety concerns. The decks can also get slippery in wet weather. For peace of mind, we recommend our home for adults and older kids over 12 who can safely navigate the space. Seasons & Weather: The cabin is cozy year-round! In winter, snow chains or AWD/4WD may be required due to mountain roads. We want you to have an amazing stay—let us know if you have any questions! 🚗 Camp Meeker roads are narrow and may require careful maneuvering, especially if another car is approaching. Please drive slowly and carefully. 🎵 Amplified music is prohibited outdoors at all times. Sonoma County quiet hours are strictly enforced between 9pm-7am. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Most of all, enjoy Camp Meeker!
