Good to know
San Francisco's light hits differently from the top floor of Bernal Heights. Cool mornings open onto a city skyline framed by original-pane glass, and come evening, the Bay Bridge catches the last of the day's glow from your private patio. This is a home with real history — one of the neighborhood's oldest Victorian residences, cared for by the same family for generations and featured in San Francisco tour books for its architecture. About This Home Occupying the entire second floor of a storied Victorian, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment has its own private entrance, diamond-pitched ceilings, and rooms filled with original artwork, Mid-Century Modern pieces, antiques, and vintage furnishings that have accumulated over decades. Central heating and portable heaters keep the space comfortable through San Francisco's reliably cool stretches. Every corner carries a calm, considered character that's genuinely hard to replicate. Sleeping Arrangements Two bedrooms sleep up to four guests in comfort. The first features a Queen bed and a uniquely shaped walk-in closet; the second has a Full bed with additional nearby storage. Both rooms are outfitted with bamboo bed linens, extra pillows, and blankets. Kitchen & Dining The kitchen handles everything from slow mornings to proper home cooking. You'll find a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, baking sheet, and Keurig coffee machine, along with a hot water kettle, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and wine glasses. The dining table works equally well as a gathering spot for shared meals or a quiet workspace when you need it. Outdoor Living A private patio or balcony gives you city views and fresh air at any hour. Beyond that, a fully fenced backyard with garden areas and outdoor furniture extends your space further — a genuinely slower counterpoint to the city's pace, and particularly welcome during San Francisco's clear winter days when the light sits low and crisp. Entertainment & Extras An HDTV with Roku, a BOSE Bluetooth sound system, books, reading material, and a yoga mat make evenings in easy to enjoy. Free street parking is available nearby. Location Bernal Heights sits in a comfortable middle ground — residential enough to feel removed from the city's busier corridors, but close enough to stay connected. Local cafes, markets, and parks are walkable from the door. The Mission District and Valencia Corridor are a short trip away, and Bernal Hill is nearby for one of San Francisco's best open viewpoints. Public transportation is accessible in the area. Good to Know Self check-in via lockbox. Dedicated workspace available in a common area with a surge protector. The apartment is equipped with a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. Free street parking on the street.

Neighborhood
THE NEIGHBORHOOD Outdoor enthusiasts, indoor bookworms, and foodies rejoice! Bernal Heights’ accessibility extends far beyond its practical commuter conveniences. Warm and inviting, Bernal Heights’ bright Victorian homes, organic markets, and gay and inclusive bars and cafes enhance its welcoming atmosphere. Nestled between the peaks of San Francisco’s rolling hills, this casual and approachable neighborhood is a charming residential respite in the City by the Bay. Bernal Height was voted the hottest neighborhood in America recently. Here’s what folks are saying: “Bernal Heights has “It”. It has the small town feel while still being in San Francisco. You can feel as though you’re separated from the craziness of the city when you get home, yet are so close if you desire a night on the town.” There are so many restaurants (too many to count), coffee shops, and cool places to go within walking distance of the house. It’s also within waling distance of our major public transportation (BART & MUNI) and near one of the most amazing spots in the entire city-Bernal Hill. We LOVE our neighborhood. And know you will too. And we are near the dynamic and Historic Mission district and the very hip and happening Valencia Corridor.
